How to draw a bubble letter M
- Draw two outer stems and a V in the middle joining their tops.
- Outline the whole shape, turning the two top points into rounded humps.
- Leave two small notches at the top between the humps, and one deep V-shaped gap at the bottom middle.
- Ink and check the letter is wider than it is tall.
The tricky part
The M is one of the widest capitals, about a fifth wider than an N in the Bubble style here, and only W is wider. When a name has an M and you are printing big, check the sheet count, because the M is usually the letter that pushes a word onto one more page.
Lowercase bubble m
The lowercase m is a stem with two humps. Keep the two gaps under the humps the same width, or it looks like an n that has sprouted.
