How to draw a bubble letter V

1. Pencil two diagonals meeting at a point on the baseline.
2. Outline the shape, turning the bottom point into a rounded tip.
3. Leave a V-shaped gap at the top with rounded corners.
4. Round the two top ends.

The tricky part

The bottom tip is where bubble letters differ most between fonts. A rounded tip reads more bubbly, a pointed one reads more like block letters. Pick one and keep it for every letter in the word.

Lowercase bubble v

The lowercase v is the same shape at x-height, and in most bubble fonts it is almost identical to the capital, just smaller.

Bubble letter V sizes and page counts

Letter height here is the height of the capital, the number you would measure on the wall. The width follows from the shape of the V, which in the Bubble style is about as wide as a typical capital. Page counts assume a 10 mm printer margin and the orientation that needs fewer sheets.

The largest V that fits on a single Letter sheet is 7.5 inches tall, printed portrait. For a bulletin board, 6 to 8 inches reads from the back of a classroom; for a door or a banner, 10 to 12 inches.
