How to draw a bubble letter J

1. Pencil a stem that curves left at the bottom into a hook.
2. Outline it, keeping the band the same width through the curve.
3. Round the top end and the end of the hook.
4. Ink and check the hook sits on the line with the other letters.

The tricky part

The hook is a small curve, and a thick outline can close the space inside it. Keep the inside of the hook open enough that you could fit a pencil point in it.

Lowercase bubble j

The lowercase j is a short stem with a dot, dropping below the line into a hook. It is one of the letters most often left off printable sets, which is why it is on its own page here.

Bubble letter J sizes and page counts

Letter height here is the height of the capital, the number you would measure on the wall. The width follows from the shape of the J, which in the Bubble style is about as wide as a typical capital. Page counts assume a 10 mm printer margin and the orientation that needs fewer sheets.
