How to draw a bubble letter B
- Start with a straight stem and two bumps on the right, the lower bump slightly wider than the upper one.
- Draw the outline around the stem and both bumps, letting the bumps swell outward like two balloons.
- Leave two holes, one in each bump. Make the lower hole a little bigger so the letter does not look top-heavy.
- Round the two corners on the left where the stem ends, then ink and erase.
The tricky part
Where the two bumps meet in the middle, the outline wants to pinch into a sharp notch. Soften it into a small inward curve, the same radius as the other corners.
Lowercase bubble b
The lowercase b is a tall stem with one round bowl at the bottom. In bubble form the bowl usually overlaps the stem, so draw the bowl first and let the stem run into it.
